About Steve Sims: Steven Sims, Owner/Operator of Steven's Catering, is pleased to support the Upper Arlington Education Foundation. Steve was born and raised in Upper Arlington and graduated from UAHS in 1979. For a number of years, he performed as the drummer in the popular local rock group Oswald and the Herringbones. Following his musical career, he returned to school and is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University and Columbus State Community College. During his apprenticeship he participated on the team who won the silver medal in the American Culinary Federation’s national competition between all the U.S. culinary arts programs. Recognized as one of Columbus Ohio’s premier full-service private club and athletic facilities, Steven trained at the Lakes Golf and Country Club under the tutelage of classically trained Chef Ziggy Allespach and Culinary Olympian Chef James Decker. Following that, he served as Executive Chef at Umberto's Cafe Dolce in Upper Arlington. He went on to the role of Corporate Chef for the Kroger Company for Central Ohio. You can open some of your favorite wines or he can suggest what wines you may want to acquire for your special menu. Scott is Business Development Manager for Sequent Corporation, a provider of human resource services to small and medium sized companies across Ohio and 42 states.
