he Upper
Arlington Education Foundation was incorporated November 20,
1985 as a not-for-profit organization with independent tax
exempt status. Its purpose is to promote excellence in public
education for the children of the community through the development
of a permanent endowment fund.
Monies
donated to the Foundation are invested with Hamilton Capital
Management. The UAEF trustees are careful stewards of the
foundation's money, taking an active role in the investments
selected by the Consulting Group.
The
Foundation is structured to provide financial support for
enrichment activities, whose costs exceed the District's budget.
These are not only in traditional classroom programs, but
also programs in the fields of fine arts and athletics.
At the
request of the Foundation Trustees, the
Upper Arlington Alumni Association was founded in 1987.
The Alumni Association is a sub-fund of the Foundation, with
representation on the Foundation Board by an ex-officio trustee
who is President of the Upper Arlington Alumni Association.
Currently this position is held by Ellen Isaly Clark, UAHS
Class of 1969.
