Dear Friends of the Foundation,

As I begin my service as President of the Upper Arlington Education Foundation Board of Trustees, I would like to thank you for helping make 2007 one of our most active and exciting years ever.

Under the leadership of Christian Laver, UAEF President 2006 and 2007, we expanded the activities of the Foundation. As the feature article mentions, a new fundraiser, the Golden Bear Bash! was established to benefit the General Unrestricted Fund with a first year profit of more than $32,000.00. We have also created a UAEF speaker's bureau for presentations to community groups. If you are a member of an organization who would like to know more about the UAEF, please contact us at 614-487-5007, Ext. 120 or email us and we would be happy to schedule a speaker to meet with you and your organization and share information about how we can partner to make a significant difference in our schools.

I would also like to remind you that your annual financial contributions are the fuel for the engine that drives us. We would like to thank you for continuing to make your gifts of cash and stock each year and for letting us know of your decisions to include the UAEF in your planned giving. If you have questions about how to designate the UAEF in your estate plans please contact our office. A UAEF member would be happy to sit down with you and your tax advisor to discuss gifting options.

Thank you for your part in helping the UAEF provide the "extras" that make the our school district one of the strongest in the country. I look forward to working with you to make 2008 the best yet at the UAEF and in the UA Schools.

With Sincere Thanks,

Wade Steen
UAEF President
